Quote:

Printer, author, philanthropist, abolitionist, scientist, librarian, diplomat, inventor, philosopher, self-aggrandizer, and social wag, Benjamin Franklin is one of the most fascinating characters in all of American history – a quality that was not lost on the man himself, as his autobiography makes plain.

Avoiding the strife of the American Revolution entirely, Franklin focuses his incisive wit on the culture and society of colonial Philadelphia, weaving a mostly true mythology of humble origins and hard work that created the concepts of “The American Dream” and “the self-made man.”

Originally published in French in 1791, and translated into English and published in London in 1793, this is considered the great autobiography of life in colonial America.

American icon BENJAMIN FRANKLIN (1706-1790), born in Massachusetts to a British immigrant father and colonial mother, published the famour Poor Richards’ Almanack”, helped found the University of Pennsylvania, and was the first Postmaster General of the United States. Franklin’s likeness adorns, among other things, the United States hundred-dollar bill

Get this book and learn what they’re NOT teaching you in school and at University, DIRECTLY from a man who live it first hand. Do you what to know what the founding fathers were thinking, where they were ‘coming from’ when developing and writing the Delcaration of Independance, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights? Read this book and you will hear directly from one of our founding father; his thoughts, his perceptions, his influences. A great read and quick read, but it is written in older english and not emoji’s and twitter-eze. So like tots do it or IDK U R sooo duh!

I bought this book because I checked it out from the library and liked it so much that I wanted a copy for my library. Excellent book. Ben Franklin was truly a amazing man. Even if you aren’t interested in business like me, this book has so many lessons to be learned relating to all aspects of life that it is well worth it. I really think it is well written and I like the brief introductions that are given at the start of each chapter. Well organized too.

What an astute man. It was much easier to read than I expected. It made yearn to have leaders like him in our world today.

May you find the LOVE, ONE LIFE and prosperity,
Aeon
